The government selected 31 companies as 'Green New Deal Promising Companies 100'

The Ministry of Environment (Minister Jeong-ae Han) and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Chil-seung Kwon) announced that they have recently added 31 companies to the 'Green New Deal Promising Companies 100' that will actively respond to the climate crisis and contribute to carbon neutrality.

The 'Green New Deal Promising Companies 100' is a project that was included in the Green New Deal plan in July last year and is being promoted to 'establish a green industry innovation ecosystem'. The Ministry of Environment selects 'Green Innovation Company' and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups select 'Green Ventures', and supports a total of 100 promising companies through the entire growth cycle from R&D to commercialization.

In September of last year, the two ministries selected 41 promising Green New Deal companies for the first time (Ministry of Environment 21, Ministry of SMEs and Startups 20), and this year, they selected an additional 31 companies (Ministry of Environment 16, Ministry of SMEs and Startups 15). The 31 promising companies selected this time will receive up to 3 billion won in commercialization and R&D funds per company for three years until 2023.
